In the final post (for now) of our series of galleries of images showing a painting in progress we bring you this painting finished in May 2021.
The painting covers the miracle told in Luke 7 and Matthew 8 where a centurion begs Jesus to heal his servant or friend, and Jesus does so without ever meeting them. You can see from the first sketch that ideas can be thought over for some time in advance of actually choosing to go further. This first sketch is dated 1981.
